Cooking lessons (only for registered accompanying persons)

 October 11 (and possibly October 13, depending on attendance)

This event takes part at the new “Kafenion” area of the Minoa Palace Hotel. The exact time will later be announced. 

Description: Discover three local Cretan recipes performed by our executive chef with the valuable help of the guests, and small secrets for a healthier living!

Duration: 1 ½ hour  (the event is followed by a tasting of the dishes accompanied with Cretan wine.)

October 13 (and possibly October 11, depending on attendance)

Learn to dance local dances by following the instructions of an expert teacher. The event takes place at the Minoa Palace Hotel. The exact time and meeting point will later be announced.

Duration: 1 ½ hour

Tour to Knossos and Heraklion City 
October 15, 2012

Highlights:
Discover the reason why Crete is called "The Cradle of Europe". Tour Knossos, the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete and center of Minoan civilization and culture, and Heraklion city.

Enjoy touring Knossos and Heraklion city, with two hours for lunch, shopping or just plain exploring. You may choose to visit the Archaeological Museum ofHeraklion as well. 

Itinerary 
- We pick you up early in the morning at your hotel in Chania, then proceed eastwards. 
- After approximately one hour, we take a coffee break outside the town of Rethymno. Books, cards and sweets, and facilities are available. 
- Approximate arrival is 10:30 at Knossos Palace/Temple. Tour on foot for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. 
- Arrival at Heraklion city at approximately 13:00. Two hours are allotted for lunch, shopping or an optional visit to the Archaeological Museum. 
- Departure from Heraklion at approximately 15:00. 
- After 1 hour, short coffee break at the same café. 
- Arrival at the hotels at approximately 18:00.

inner will be served at the Minoa Palace or Porto Platanias Hotel (based on your accommodation) between 19:00 and 22:00.
