Please note that in order to encourage the participation of young scientists, there are competitive NSF-sponsored travel funds available for early career scientists from the U.S. to attend the biennial International Summit on Hurricanes and Climate Change.  This includes Graduate students as well as those within 3 years of an Assistant Professorship or equivalent.  There are also a limited amount of funds sponsored by Aegean conferences for international graduate students. The recipients of these awards will be selected based on the scientific merit of abstracts submitted by applicants. If  you would like to apply for an award, please complete the following:

In addition, awardees will hear from Dr. Collins and/or her travel department before May 31 as there will be some forms you MUST complete PRIOR to travel or recipients will not be able to get the award.  Note also to keep all summit business related receipts (no need though to save food receipts as a per diem will be calculated)
